Deni has been a part of this community since 2012. She's always advocated on behalf of women's issues. In 2016, she was awarded Riverside County Woman of the Year by Sen. Mike Morrell for these efforts. Endorsed by Gavin Newsom.
Deni has spent countless hours creating a street ministry here in the Hemet area. She hits the streets to provide food and clothing to the homeless living on the streets, in dark alleys, and sleeping on park benches. Deni advocates for the people that cannot advocate for themselves. She spearheaded a campaign to reopen the rape crisis center in the Hemet Hospital. She is also fighting to create legislation to provide a program with Habitat for Humanity, using the funds set aside by Governor Brown, to build affordable housing for the working poor within our community.
DeniAntionette Mazingo has made countless contributions to the community, with a special focus on improving the lives of women and girls.
As a Third District Commissioner on the Riverside County Commission for Women, Deni established a program to educate young people about the dangers of human trafficking.
As an active member of Soroptimist International, she lives out the organization’s mission to aid women and girls by developing programs leading to social and economic empowerment. In this capacity, she has chaired a number of fundraising events to provide education grants and scholarships to women and girls, as well as worked to organize and host an annual Soroptimist Girl Power Conference to provide sixth and seventh grade girls with opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
Deni is involved with several community organizations, including Las Amigas, through which she has helped collect and distribute food and clothing to those less fortunate while raising $12,000 for the Children’s Defense Fund.
In professional life, Deni, a practicing attorney at law, provides free legal counsel to individuals who are unable to afford legal services.
Deni's strong faith guides her efforts and informs her sense of compassion and morally responsible government.
